The Old McDonald's
This is a product made of wood from the first McDonald's built in McHenry IL. The building was torn down and a new one was completed 11/22/2010.
The business began in the early 40's, a restaurant opened by Richard and Maurice McDonald in San Bernardino, California. Their creation of the "Speedee Service System" in 1948 started the principles of the modern fast-food restaurant. The mascot of McDonald's was a person with a chef's hat on top of a head whose name was Speedee. Speedee was eventually retired by Ronald McDonald
By 1967 the company first filed a U.S. trademark on a clown shaped person having puffed out costume legs.
McDonald's restaurants are in 119 countries around the world and serve millions of customers each day. McDonald's operates restaurants worldwide, employing more than 1.5 million people.
